Bowling for autism

A family-friendly bowling event to benefit autism and hosted by the personal training studio of Excellence In led tubes Fitness is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Annapolis Bowl, 2057 Generals Highway. The event will benefit the Anne Arundel County Chapter of Autism Society of America. Each lane will have a team and the cost per lane is a minimum $150 donation.

A portion of the cost will cover the rental fee of the lane and a pair of bowling shoes. The proceeds will go to the Anne Arundel Chapter of The Autism Society of America. Families are highly encouraged to participate.

Vision, hearing screenings

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health vision and hearing technicians and school nurses will conduct mandated vision and Fashion Men Jeans Clothings hearing screenings in public schools in December for children in preschool, kindergarten, first and eighth grade, and for students new to county schools. Special education students receiving speech therapy may also be recommended for screening. Technicians also administer vision and hearing screenings at private schools, nurseries and day care programs. Children who wear glasses should bring them to school the day of the
